Laura and Nate’s relaxed and luxurious outdoor wedding at Bell Hall (near York) in the summer 2013 was our first foray into wedding planning and made us realise how much we love, love. 

Laura and Nate were keen to have a romantic outdoor wedding in Yorkshire, where they could be legally married outside and enjoy a marquee reception on the same site. They were also keen to feast on sharing-style Mediterranean dishes, treat their guests to fantastic live music during the day and night, have an amazing firework display and party away with a silent disco until the early hours. They also wanted their guests to be able to sleep on site in beautiful tipis so that they could have a laidback lunch with all of their guests the day after their wedding.

We helped Laura and Nate find the perfect venue to deliver all of their requirements. Bell Hall is quintessentially English, with a gorgeous secret garden area for marriage ceremonies, plenty of lush outdoor space for marquees and camping and the Hall itself provides a stunning backdrop for romantic photographs. We even managed to persuade the venue to organise its own wedding licence so that Laura and Nate could get legally married in the secret garden. 

We sourced all of their suppliers and helped to coordinate the wedding on the day itself. We even packed everything down the day after to ensure Laura and Nate could just enjoy their lunch with their guests. 

It was such a magical, relaxed and memorable weekend, made all the more personal by Laura’s mum making all of the bridal bouquets from her own homegrown flowers and Laura and Nate adding additional homemade touches, from homemade signage, to favours and homegrown herbs.
